Hatha Yoga is the yoga of balance and is a powerful tool for self-transformation. It incorporates postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and hand gestures (mudras) to draw awareness to the sensations of the body, breath and mind. It uses breath awareness to help still the fluctuations of the mind and be more present in the unfolding of each moment. It seeks to develop a balance of strength and flexibility in our physical bodies and a balance of ease and effort in each posture. Hatha Yoga practices are designed to align and calm your body, mind, and spirit and bring them in harmony with each other.
